Carmo’s inflation valves are weldable PVC valves for inflating and sealing air-filled products. The valve is welded straight into the product on your own line, so it fuses into the material, a clean, reliable seal. After inflation the valve can be pressed down to sit flush with the surface it’s welded to.
- Free-flow or non-return (self-locking), with fixed plugs
- 5, 7 and 9 mm
- Weldable PVC: transparent, blue or black
Welded into the material you ship
Every inflation valve can be joined by HF (high-frequency) or ultrasonic welding, so it fuses into the PVC of your product, the weld itself becomes the seal. We can supply the HF electrodes for the best result; where welding isn’t practical, the valves can also be bonded. The non-return version holds the air in even when the plug is open, and releases easily when you press on the sides of the valve.
Carmo HF-welds a PVC inflation valve to the fabric using a 2.5 kW HF generator, a bar-welder and a Carmo standalone electrode, a clean, repeatable weld for premium and safety-critical inflatables.
Where they’re used
These are lighter-duty valves for air-filled products where comfort, fit and a dependable seal matter most: mattresses, pillows and cushions, air beds and comfort and support surfaces, and leisure, sport and general inflatables.
For products that must last in harsh environments, burst protection, controlled venting, marine and rescue, use our modular valve system, built for dependability and a long service life.
Custom variants
Need a specific size, colour or material? Our rapid prototyping produces functional prototypes of custom inflation valves in the production material, quickly, so what you test is what you ship.
Replacing an older Carmo valve?
The current generation replaces the earlier series and is fully compatible. If you used an older valve, switch to the new equivalent:
- 03-160 → 03-305
- 03-612, 03-112 → 03-307
- 03-115 → 03-309
- 03-163, 03-955 → 03-325
- 03-664, 03-957 → 03-327
- 03-165 → 03-329
Made in Denmark
We produce our valves on our own machines in Denmark, with full control of the process from raw material to finished component, and can scale a production up or down with demand. The single site also underpins our environmental work: Science Based Targets emissions goals and the recycling of surplus production material.
Carmo A/S's quality management system is certified to ISO 13485:2016 Medical devices quality management system by Bureau Veritas (accredited by DANAK), certificate no. DK020611. Scope: Design, development, manufacture and assembly of injection molded plastic components. Valid: 2. September 2026 – 1. September 2029.
All Carmo plastic components are manufactured under the same QMS and procedures.
