Carmo’s pressure-relief valve protects an inflated product from bursting: it opens automatically when the internal pressure reaches a set point: nominal opening pressure 0.07 bar: then reseals.
Protection against bursting
It is built for inflatable products that must be safeguarded against over-pressure, buoys, ballast and lifting bags, tanks and sacks, where pressure can rise as temperature climbs. The flange is PVC/PUR; the valve body is ABS with a metal element. The point is simple: the product has to fail safe, not fail open.
On the modular flange
Like the rest of the system, the relief valve sits on the common G3/4″ weldable flange, interchangeable with the inflation/pressure and vacuum valves. HF weld time is about 1.5–2 seconds depending on material thickness; the flange can also be bonded for small runs and prototypes. Built for a long service life in harsh conditions, saltwater, UV, freeze-thaw and repeated pressure cycling, and produced on one ISO-certified site in Denmark.
