Carmo’s pressure relief valve
Carmo’s modular valve system is built around a weldable flange, available in materials suitable for HF welding on PUR or PVC. The overpressure valve in our system features a standard 3/4″ bushing, as do the other valves in the system.
This is an overpressure valve that opens when a predetermined pressure is reached. It is ideal for inflatable objects that need protection from bursting, such as buoys, where the pressure may rise due to increasing temperatures. The nominal opening pressure is 0.07 Bar.
Carmo’s overpressure valve is designed to fit our modular valve system, which consists of a weldable flange and various fittings, including the overpressure valve. Along with the rest of our valves, both the overpressure valve and flange feature a standard 3/4” bushing. This modular design ensures that different types of Carmo valves are compatible with the same flange.
Our threaded flange is particularly useful for inflatable objects, such as buoys, where the pressure can increase with rising temperatures, as well as for sacks, tanks, ballast, and more. With HF welding, the welding time is expected to be 1.5 to 2 seconds, depending on the material thickness. Alternatively, our PVC adhesive can be used for smaller productions and prototypes.
Protection against bursting with an overpressure valve
With our overpressure valves, objects are protected against bursting in the event of excessive pressure. The valve opens when a predefined pressure is reached. The Carmo overpressure valve has a nominal opening pressure of 0.07 bar.
The flange is made of PVC/PUR, while the valve itself is made of ABS/metal. The flange is ideal for HF welding on PUR/PVC. The flange is also compatible with a range of Carmo’s valve fittings, allowing you to use our pressure valves for inflation, overpressure valves as shown on this page, and our vacuum valve. When using the vacuum valve, the threaded flange is designed to ensure that airflow is not blocked during operation.
Production of unique plastic components and valves
We manufacture our products in Denmark, ensuring high consistency and quality. As a company, we work exclusively with high-quality materials and are committed to both environmental responsibility and providing a safe work environment for our employees.
At Carmo, we are experts in the design, production, and sale of injection-molded components. We have strong expertise in both plastic molding and rapid prototyping (3D printing/molding). If your company has unique requirements or requests for products, materials, or colors, please contact us to discuss the possibilities.
