Carmo and Forsstrom signs partnership agreement

Carmo and Forsstrom enter into a partnership and launch an upgraded welding machine

Carmo and the Swedish machine manufacturer Forsstrom HF enter into a collaboration regarding development and sales of high frequency (HF) welding machines. The first result of the collaboration – a new version of Carmo’s HF welding machine CP9 – will be launched at the R+T fair in February in Stuttgart, Germany.

Carmo and the Swedish company Forsstrom HF have worked together for decades and recommended each other’s products to their respective customers. Now, the match is official, and the two companies have signed a partnership agreement for the development, sale and service of Carmo HF welding machines.

– Forsstrom and Carmo know each other very well, which goes back many years. Representatives of our companies often meet at fairs, and there has always been a good chemistry and many opportunities for collaboration. So, it made more than good sense to take the plunge with a real development project and a trade deal.

Claus Ishøy, CEO at Carmo A/S

Forsstrom has already worked several times with the development and retrofit of Carmo’s HF welding machines. However, it is only with this collaboration that these development projects are put into series production and available to a larger market.

– We want to create a closer connection with our customers and be their preferred one-stop shop where they can get all their machines in one place. With the addition of Carmo’s machines to the range, we cover a completely new business area and are one stop closer to the goal.

Adding experience and knowledge

Initially, the agreement results in development of Carmo’s most popular HF welding machines CP9 and CP8.

– Forsstrom has great expertise in HF welding, and at the same time they have a long experience with our machines. This means that they have unique knowledge to be able to further develop the machines. This optimization will greatly benefit our customers when they get access to the updated versions.

Claus Ishøy, CEO at Carmo A/S

Forsstrom has sales agents in several countries, where the agents will be responsible for the sales and service of the HF welding machines, which are tailored to weld Carmo’s medical and industrial components. We see many opportunities in adding Forsstrom’s experience and knowledge to Carmo’s development and sales work.

– Forsstrom is a reputable brand recognized for high quality. With the collaboration, we get access to their unique expertise, which will take our HF welding machines to the next level, and which will open a new market for us through their well-developed sales channels. We see great opportunities in working together with Forsstrom, and we look forward to seeing what we can achieve together.

Therefore, Forsstrom is also looking forward to being able to showcase the possibilities of the new partnership when they attend the trade fair R+T in Stuttgart, Germany, February 19 to 23.
